Content creation from session recordings

Airmeet is a virtual conferencing platform primarily focused on marketer personas to generate high-quality leads by conducting webinars and large-scale, multi-track, branded events.

 

Events are like goldmines for marketers not just because of attendees who could be their future customers but also for the content generated from the events which they can use to further market their product/service. After hosting an event, marketers want to further use the session’s recordings to generate lead. For that, they have to create short clips from the recordings and post it on various platforms.

 

Problem statements:

  • There are cases where (1) the recordings have awkward silences from speakers (2) there were some A/V issues and either audio/video not working or blurred due to network issues  These recordings which are still used by attendees through Airmeet platform. Organisers want to remove certain bits/fillers/blanks from the recording.

  • B2B marketers prefers to create short clips out from the recordings and share on social media for further reach and to generate continued value. Currently depend on third party tools and experts to do these tasks, which add to the expense and time.

  • The transcripts generated are utilised to create summaries and blog posts using AI tools.

Currently Airmeet do not support any of the above

Persistent Backstage

Airmeet is a virtual conferencing platform primarily focused on marketer personas to generate high-quality leads by conducting webinars and large-scale, multi-track, branded events.

 

Backstage is a space for hosts to prepare speakers to reduce anxiety and technical glitches prior to going live. Any issues related to audio, video, screen sharing, etc. from the speaker side are tested and rectified in this space by the hosts and organizing team members so that there is a seamless experience for attendees, speakers, and hosts.

 

At the time of this requirement, session backstage existed only when the session was yet to start or paused. Once the session is live, the session backstage does not exist.

 

Problem statements:

  • While live, when an unexpected audio/video/screen share issue occured with any of the speakers, there is no way to rectify immediately. They ended up depending on other platforms (Phone calls, Whatsapp, Google meet, Airmeet’s support lounge etc.) to resolve the situation.

  • Speakers who joined late landed directly in the live view, where the audience could see and hear them. This generated anxiety for both hosts and the speaker.

  • When event organizers/hosts needed to privately discuss something, on managing sessions etc. there were no options while the sessions were live.

Applicant Tracking System

The project brief given to me by the head of design department was to study the existing recruiter's application in detail from a system point of view, conduct user research, find the issues, come up with design solutions which can really impact the user experience of recruiters who use Naukri portal for their hiring activity.

 

Note: There were no specific problem statement(s) given to me to solve and the company management were pretty happy with the existing recruiter’s portal as it was already generating huge revenue (90% of revenue of Naukri.com) for 10+ years by then.

 

My studies identified many issues in recruiter's daily work life and mismatches in their offline process with the features provided through the existing Naukri recruiter's application.

The service/system (Naukri Applicant Tracking System) conceptualised and proposed by me from scratch was instantly approved by the management and went on hiring a startup to give life to the concept as quickly as possible. The product gained huge revenue within few weeks of launch and the UX department themselves received a much-needed visibility and appreciation in a then 3000+ employee company, with almost 60 IIM Alumni.

Regulations & Permissions Commission's Portal

KHDA is a Dubai government body which regulates schools, universities, parents, students, educators, investors and government partners to create a high quality education sector focused on happiness and wellbeing.

The project was to revamp the existing RPC Portal which acts as the backbone for many multi-phased processes involved in KHDA starting from an investor applying for a permit to start an educational institution in Dubai till any amendments in future. 

 

The primary challenge was to understand the functions associated with 8+ disconnected departments and the stakeholders within each department. All these department had a role to play in the above mentioned processes during different disconnected phases w.r.t time.

I conceptualised the new RPC system covering all the workflows connecting multiple departments by engaging in multiple workshops with the business stakeholders from different departments, user research with customers and an iterative user centric design process and validation.

Music Listening Guide - Author & Student Mode

Music students need to study & understand every minute details of a music piece. They need guidance to find where to concentrate more in a given music piece, the meaning and information behind each music notes.

 

Instructors involvement in current scenario is very limited. They ask students to learn by listening to a music piece, then to read about the music piece from a different information source. There is a disconnect between subject knowledge of instructors & learning of a student due to these constraints. Also the effort involved and time consumed to meet their goal were the major user pain points.

 

Conceptualised an application for authors / instructors to create listening guide for any music piece with ability to divide the music into different sections and sub sections and add the details to every portions of it. The students would have an interactive learning experience on the music piece, on it's every lines and notes through a mobile application, with ability to listen and read at the same time, to ask questions and get reply from instructors and to have discussions with their classmates

Toorak Connect: Loan Processing Platform

In this platform, loan originator companies can create loans required for their buyers and see if the loans are eligible to get funded from Toorak. Toorak’s Loan Acquisition Team (LAT) analyse the loan request and verify loans through a multi-phase process of approvals, along with the help of third-party due-diligence team for document verification before final approval and then the buy out of the loan would be initiated. Once buyout initiated and settlement details along with supporting documents verified by the treasury team members, and mutually agreed upon with the respective originators, Toorak would fund the loans in the bundle per week

Challenges: The target users were very much used to excels, in data entry, in applying few 100s of formulas / rules required to analyse a loan and emails were the only mode of back and forth communications. Altering their user behaviour by providing an online application was the primary challenge. Another major challenge was to study and define the multi phased workflows with 20+ statuses in total, with multiple levels of user interventions, approvals and communications.

The product was conceptualised along with the key stakeholders from Toorak, through multiple requirement workshops, user research and through an iterative design process. The product is is successfully launched and is been well appreciated by their customers and Loan Acquisition Team members of Toorak.
